LIMSA Partners With Moves For Hunger
The Long Island Moving & Storage Association is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the non-profit organization, Move For Hunger. Together, we will help create one of the country’s largest, year-round service programs, influencing millions in need of relief. As you are aware, many people throw out a good deal of “stuff” during the moving process. Unfortunately, some of this “stuff” is food that could be delivered to a local family in need rather than thrown away. Move For Hunger asks you to donate this unopened, non-perishable food during your move. Our participating members will then deliver this food on a monthly basis to a local food bank or pantry, where it will be distributed to local families in need.
