WHY
YOU SHOULD USE A LIMSA MEMBER TO LIMSA – the Long Island Moving & Storage Association – demands that its members follow a strict Code of Ethics and also maintain rigid standards of professional performance. To qualify for LIMSA membership, a mover must have a Satisfactory Rating with the Better Business Bureau and a minimum number of complaints filed with the New York State DOT. LIMSA members made more than 51,000 moves last year. According to the New York State DOT, only nine minor complaints were filed related to those moves. If you want to be sure that you get a professional, quality move at reasonable cost from a mover you can trust, contact a LIMSA member for your estimate. If you ever have a legitimate complaint about a LIMSA member, it will be addressed by our Grievance Committee. LIMSA was organized in 1933 to build consumer confidence in the Long Island moving industry. Members service the entire New York Metropolitan area and deliver to communities throughout New York State. Some members also handle interstate and international moves.
